    Mustang cake

Check it out guys, my other half, Amy, made an amazing birthday cake for me. We went out for a meal tonight with some friends, and she brought this along. I had no idea she had made it, and it took her 2 days to do it...

Its absolutely massive, about 18" long. Just tucking in to a huge slice of it now. The icing is painted with food colouring that she applied with an airbrush...!!! It was almost a shame to cut it up...

My favourite bit has to be the flame thrower exhaust...

    Yep, she is the best....

The rear lights are made from wine gums, as are the side indicators and the ones on the bonnet scoop. She even got the 460 badges right, and the fuel filler cap is awesome.... hehe

    Wow, fantastic work!!

That takes me back!! My Mum used to do really amazing cakes for my brother and my birthday's too!
We had a Tardis one year with a working light on top, Castle Greyskull ET's space ship!! And she used to use food colouring on the sponge to make it the most strange and unusual colour ever... we had to try and guess the colour... some parents refused to let their little girls, all dressed in pretty white dresses, eat my mums purple cake with dark blue tardis coloured icing party poopers

    Mustang Congrats!

    Hi there Sy!

What an amazing cake!! I just wanted to let you know that your pics made it on to Ford's Weekly Roundup - http://ford.digitalsnippets.com/mustang/#headline . The content is refreshed 2x weekly, so just look under the Weekly Roundup Archive to see your snippet.

Each week we look for the best of the web mustang stuff - anything that's made by mustang lovers. All of the items get tagged in delicious, "mustangbestoftheweb" and from that list, Ford chooses their faves!

Our agency works closely with Ford on their social media efforts. We are heading up this project so I wanted to let you know.

    Congrats!

    ~K

Fantastic cake, I can't believe you desecrated it by chopping it up though! As much as I like cake, I like Mustangs more!
