Ford c4, 26 spline with bell housing, torque converter, prop yoke

I have recently taken the 302 out of my car, as have bought a 460 BBF.

The engine and flexplate are gone, but the gearbox, torque converter, prop yoke, and maybe even the prop still exist.

The gearbox, I am extremely reluctant to sell, as, I'm sure you are aware, every C4 box now that is second hand, costs £100 to £150, has been screwed into the floor, and needs masses of re-building.

This box runs absolutely sweet as a nut, really good, sharp changes, no loss of power or bands slipping at all.

Thought I'ld offer this for sale as it will save someone a LOT of hassle and money rebuilding one.

I am happy to give a written guarantee that you are getting a good working box.

Comes complete with bell housing, original converter, and yoke.

    £500.

Always the same, innit? When you want one, they're like rocking horse poo and cost an arm and a leg, when you want to sell one, suddenly they're common as bent politicans only worth tuppence it seems.....
    Good luck anyway.

Spot on with that Mart, when I needed a C4 after a few set backs at Santa Pod, couldn't find one (easily) then when a few came up a while back I took the precaution of nabbing them on a just in case basis.

Buy now to avoid disappointment if you think you'll need one.

Hahaha, yes, don't I know it. I contemplated paying thousands for a good one 6 months ago, now nothing.

What is the photo you have looking at the block in your signature thingy? Is it a damaged bore or something?

It was a very rare XE 351C big-bore 4 bolt main aluminium block that came with the orange '70 M1 that is currently my sig pic. It had been blown up and partially repaired and would never have been strong enough to make serious power and there's no point in having an engine like that unless it's going to have big power. I ended up selling it to a guy in the US who was going to get it fixed and fit it into some kind if Historic circuit racer there. Interesting but not much use to me unfortunately. Thanks for the interest though!
    Cheers, Martin
