You are all cordially invited to RAF Odiham Families Day for the 3rd annual event (that we've come to)
When does this event start? 24th Aug 2017 - opens approx 0800-1000 finished 1700-1800
Where is RAF Odiham?: Just off Jct 5 of the M3 - Postcode RG29 1QT - (meet up beforehand approx 0900ish at 'The Mill House' Car park in NorthWarnborough - RG29 1ET. This saves on trying to hand passes out at the gate)
Who can come along?: Anyone from the forum! Last year we had approx 22 cars - i'm always trying to get more in. Classics to Fox Bodies, Brand new to well used - all welcome.
I generally work on 20ish cars, this is flexible, and since planning has only just started there should be a good amount of room.
What is a Families day? - Families days are run at military bases in the UK as a time for service families to come along and see what they do. Flying displays, ground events and much more are run on these days.
-This event is CLOSED to all members of the public - except where you have been invited in!
What happens on these Families days? - There will be numerous displays going on from approx 1200 through to 1700.
-Previous displays have included:
RAF Falcons / Red Devils
(All aircraft are dependent on weather, the amount of aircraft working etc...)
'Only that much? Isn't there anything else??' - Of course!
There will be multiple static aircraft, such as Apache, Chinook, Puma, WW1 biplanes, Army Air Corps Historic flight, sometimes a BBMF aircraft comes down for a static, and many small civilian aircraft too.
Not enough? - well there's ground stalls from most sections on camp too! From the RAF Regiment with vehicles and weapons to Survival equipment - each club on camp will be able to have a stall, with the Motorcycle club, Motor club, Go-Kart club to name but a few.
Right...Enough info for now! I'll continue to update this as we go along - if anyone has a question, fire away and i'll try to answer it.
