Indeed have to say the prospect of travelling for an hour to sit in a car park full of modern cars doesn't appeal in the slightest.

No offence to S550/S197 owners, lovely cars but not really the same as these meets used to be....

    Lol.

Did not think they allowed anyone to reserve spaces. So limited in number.

In fairness that was my point.

Ace cafe Mustang stampede was always first come first served and an eclectic mix of old and new.

I'm sure it will be a great meet but when I see talk of Facebook groups of majority modern Mustangs arranging to come en-masse and 'reserving' spaces it puts me off.

And if that makes me a grumpy old git then i shall accept said moniker.

A Mustang is a Mustang so I guess the stampede will be exactly that - I will be grumpy if spaced are reserved for anyone Classic Modern or otherwise.

I will pop along in the 65 as it's a nice little drive over - if I can't get in then I will head for the west end for a cruise.

I have to say I was a little surprised that the "Hotrod" night at the Ace earlier this week allowed standard spec right hand drive Mustangs in, lovely cars - but not a Hotrod or even a restromod.

I like how you only excluded the S197 and S550 as you own an SN-95

I used to regularly attend this event before I had a regular commitment over Easter.
The notion of reserving spaces at the Ace Cafe is I thought a non-starter, as there are so many cars arriving, they just fill up the small car park and then the road. Have they changed the approach and can now leave gaps ? I highly doubt this would be possible.
Also, if you do get a space, you will most likely have to wait until the people blocking you in are ready to go.
