Last year after visiting various diners local to me and searching the internet for ideas, we decided to revamp our kitchen in the style of an american diner………and after over 8 weeks of work with the help of a few friends it’s finished at last.
As a ex-kitchen and bathroom fitter, I like to see new ideas and that one is simple but appealing. And easy to put back to a normal style if you ever wanted to sell the house on - not that any potential buyers should be put off by that.
Funny you should ask that Bob, I found one of these at a swap meet, had it re chromed and just need to fit all the bits back in it and find some space for it in the kitchen.
Absolutely brilliant! What a great job! Agree, need a jukebox now. I on the other hand have the opposite problem, a 1953 Jukebox but no diner! Look at the picture below for inspiration. I bought 6 when I came back from the U.S but sold them all. Very much cheaper to buy over there, shipping is as usual the problem. If you need a contact, I have a couple in the U.S and UK. I bought some reasonable 50's ones in U.S for about £1.5k.
