I noticed aside from insurers and articles built around specialists and their cars there isn't much in the way of traditional advertising (parts/suppliers/offers etc). Is this something you've done in the past and stopped, or decided against including?
Hi Dean, paid for advertising is a complex one, we have a maximum limit on weight of the magazine that we cant go over ( it will put us in a much higher postage cost) as you can see by the comments here, members want more information on future events etc which will mean loosing some general editorial pages, if we then add advertising we will loose more, that's not to say we don't want some to offset the cost of the magazine but we are trying to find advertisers who will comit for 6 issues (ie 12 months) so that it doesn't increase Steve workload anymore than it already is.

Of course I understand, I too thought it would offset the cost because the magazine is of good quality and content and obviously costs money to produce, and the membership fee is really reasonable and includes subscription to the mag...

Thanks Dean, the committee members are working pretty much flat out to improve the club and Steve's doing a brilliant job with Roundup we still have plans to improve it so it will be even better.
