Trip to US to get some parts??

Am planning a trip to the US soon and was thinking of ‘stocking up’ on a few bits for the car. Other than the usual filters etc is there anything else that I could get. Car is a 2008 V8 with 26k on the clock. Recently had the belt and plugs done. Only asking as it failed MOT with worn out front lower control arms - just age related. So I understand I can’t predict whats gonna go next but I thought there might be some common parts?

A 2008 and 26k on the clock with worn LCAs? I had a 2008 convertible auto V8 and more miles, with no sign of MoT problems. Anyway, I don't think it's worth trying to second guess future faults. You might want to look at preferred upgrades, such as a CAI and or tuner which can be easily transported. Headers etc. won't fit into your suitcase....

Heres how it works

You will buy 300 dollars worth of spares. You will use exactly 19 dollars worth of them thus the spare widget you actually used will cost you 300. Better off spending the money on the items as you need them, Yes they will cost a bit more but you will only own, store and pay for the things you need

Buy something you actually want to use on the car like the LCAs mentioned above.

My 07 GT500 came with a myriad of spares. Fuses in such a large quantity the buyer obviously assumed a direct nuclear strike, Plugs, filters for air and oil, etc etc. He didn't use a one nor did I, I sold the car and most of the spares went go a friend in Jersey.
