    Vinyl stripes with 'digital fade'

Does anyone have recommendations for suppliers, or indeed any other tips on adding vinyl 'digital fade' stripes? I'm happy to pay more for a top quality job that will last.

I like the effect where the strip is faint at each end but gets more pronounced in the middle. I saw a great black one on an orange S550 at the weekend from tip of bonnet to end of boot lid.

Not sure if it was OEM or aftermarket?

    Cheers
    David

I think this comes down to checking out suppliers in your area. You can also go to paint shops and ask as they often use people to add stripes.

Thanks, Iím after the Ďdigital fadeí style which I think needs to come from a specialist supplier. I know Sutton can do them but they donít come cheap. Iím in the West London area if there are any specific recommendations.

Speak to a local signwriter which does signage and adverts on commercial vehicles. They'd be able to do that.

If you saw it on an S550 its the stock one from ford so prob a part number you can find .I had it on my Stang but didn't like how it faded out, looked good at a distance but close up the dots didn't look good to me so changed for solid

I think you're right about them being OEM. I read elsewhere that they are really hard to get hold of now and also ridiculously expensive (each section is priced as an individual part).

It's very subjective as I really like the dots close-up as well as from a distance - I think it goes with the 'high tech' nature of the S550.

So far I've found Sutton and a company called Studio997 near Windsor are able to provide them and come recommended.

            Cheers
