I have been dealing with Jonathan Wright 01782 286311

The multi car policy he has arranged for me is a specialist one and at least one car has to be valued at £35,000 but I have move four cars (3 of mine 1 of my wifes) to one policy with each car getting agreed valuations (no inspections required, although they challenged the value of my DB7 we agreed to split the difference - job done).

My wife and I keep seperate no claims but I get the benefit of five years no claims on all three cars...... the savings run to over £600. and it is a quality policy that even covers me FULLY COMP on any car (so long as its insured by the owner) -

Really helpful broker - and I can pay monthly !!

I tried adrian flux after the many recommendations on here. They were the most expensive of the lot! Over 500 quid to insure the car, and I specifically requested the american car department as well.

In the end I used one of the contacts from the classic american magazine, namely, Performance direct. Again, you need to ask for the classic car / american car department.

They provided me fully comp, including european travel with Hagarty insurance for about £300 quid.

I recommend anyone to try them.

I did and I think they are great very helpfull , proffesional and know their stuff and offer a very personal service, they even WELCOME new mustangs when a lot of the bigger companies are turnning their backs on them . my quote was £100 cheaper than last years , and £200 cheaper than anyone else that did bother to phone me back this year . with the bonus of you being able to use all of your no claims discount on another vehicle , and in the event of an accident you have FULL control over where and who the car goes to for repairs .plus breakdown cover , and cover to drive abroad .
CLASSICLINE have been doing insurance for the NSRA (HOT RODS) for around 25 years so they are certainly not concerned about a few modifications . all my paperwork was correct , which is a first for four years , so I highly recommend them , give them a try :-bd=D>=D>

Bearing in mind i'm not quite 25, i've crashed a heavily modified Mustang under 2 years ago......and this one has 500bhp.......

£90 with all the trimmings .. class 1 business use, agreed value, recovery (not that i needed it) wife on, friend on..and even though I mostly keep it in the garage I have opted for on-driveway as I may keep it 'round the side in the garden in the winter and use garage for my daily car...
Tried Footman James for a comparison and they wanted £250 and don't think that gave as much cover.

Well Classic Line seemed less than receptive to me when I rang but have taken my details. I also have Graham Sykes on the case.

The renewal from A-Plan is not acceptable this year so unless it turns out to be my only option, I won't be reneweing and if I get caught by this continuous insurance crap ( it would be this year so I wonder whether there is an element of having you over a barrel now), I'll probably be selling it and going back to an unmodified car I can use as a daily.

Sad it seems to be coming to this.

Just curious why did'nt they quote you while on the phone at the time ? they took a few minutes to quote me , i paid and the paperwork came two days later . Is it because of the supercharger that they have got to get back to you ?

To be honest, they didn't seem that interested even before I mentioned any mods at all. However, it may be the supercharger but I'd guess possibly more the value as I know it's easier the lower you go. I did mention the club, the low use and the NSRA but she just said the rods were all pre 73 so somewhat different. She will hopefully ring back on Monday.

Well Graham Sykes have come up with £507 but with a somewhat ridiculous £900 excess (A-Plan are £500).

I'll see if Classicline can do anything now but if not it's goodbye A-Plan.

Well ClassicLine wont get back to me till Monday, nor will MCE or Graham Sykes.

However, Adrian Flux have offered cover at £495, so I am taking it out today, BUT if ClassicLine beat it, I'll get my money back, as the premium isn't due to start till 11th July 2011.
