ClassicLine Insurance SUPERB
Superb service from Darren at ClassicLine. Can't recommend him/them enough.
05 GT, 5000 mile policy, mirrored NCB from main car, UK breakdown included (homestart an additional £10). Both Selina and I at 27, with a small accident from 2009. No speeding tickets. Car garaged. Mods declared....£469 with £400 excess.
Top stuff. Quick, easy...great value.
If you are struggling with insurance, try these guys out for sure.

Been happy with Stevenage Insurance Services for 3 years, but premium went up about 30% this year. Still quite reasonable at £399, but I rang around for a few quotes, based on 5000 miles rather than my current 7500 miles, and not garaged (kept on drive):-
Classic Line: £546
Adrian Flux: £454
Graham Sykes: £277
Pleasantly surprised by the last one, so didn't bother with any more quotes! Graham Sykes were very efficient by email and on the phone, though I haven't got the paperwork yet (only paid today). I declined the breakdown cover and legal help, since I already have both (RAC and married to a solicitor!) which saved £30. Includes Guaranteed NCD too. The only drawback is the hefty £500 excess, which is mandatory.
Sometimes it pays to be old and have a clean record!Adam

Insurance
Rang round a few after getting a 30% hike from MCE! Don't know how on earth they justify it. Anyway, settled on the Classic Insurance lot who were £50 cheaper than last year at £350 - it's a '54 puny v6 4.0 Premier but I like it!It may be missing a few cylinders but it didn't cost much, it'll go further and I like it:)

Just for information, I got the letter from MCE a few weeks ago now and eventually got round to ringing them only to be told what I expected that they only do Mustangs 7 or more years old.
I filled in a couple of on-line requests and have settled on Graham Sykes at £302.72.

Spent far to long on this, phoned about 8 companies including all the ones recommended on this thread, the cheapest turned out to be my renewal with Adrian Flux £480, 5k ltd mileage, 300x/s plus windscreen and driving other cars. Cheaper than last year. but some of the quotes from companies that paport to be american car specialists were shocking.

Classic line for me this year too.
Renewal was £600+ (can't remember exactly) for 5000 miles
A-plan quoted £639 for 6000 miles but on the condition it had a cat 2 immobiliser fitted (they were friendly and helpful though)
Classic line quoted £308 for 6000 miles.

prehaps we should have a list of recomended companies for our cars , 1. classics and 2. late model ? , may make the inevitible "shopping arround and around and around " easier ?
me - Flux for S197 , RH Classics for the 69 (v good and simple process , weddings cheep too)
[ on my day to day car i use all comparison sites then go back to existing company]
