Fuel economy, my V6 is great!

What with fuel prices etc I thought it would be interesting to see how well my car did in the MPG stakes. Well most of you have a V8 and laugh at us boys & girls who are missing the odd cylinder or two...........well who's laughing now!?

Reset computer... coast downhill with car in gear = no fuel usage :) Unfortunately, what goes down, must go up again. :(

        I'm laughing. If I'd wanted economy, I'd have bought a Prius. :)

They're actually pretty crap for economy. You're just hauling all the weight of those batteries around. My Micra beats a Prius on economy easily.

I remember doing a similar thing, though the throttle was on the other end stop, the readout said 4.5mpg ;))

I'd also like to know how he can get so much fuel in it without giving up in frustration :)

My old 65 (Harvey) says as long as he has his best big socks and sandals on he can run on crispy bacon, scrambled eggs, waffles & maple syrup, orange juice and hash browns so doesn't even need petrol like these young up-starts.. although he did then get up to go to the toilet and let out a little involuntary tommy-squeak.. ..

                        .. or did I dream it :-?

That was pulling onto the motorway slip road on the way to Capel Manor.
Sorry about the dust Paul I thought I had cleaned all that off.

I go to the local Texaco and can fill it to the brim on full flow without a problem......... only drawback its the most expensive in the area.
