    1967 390 Coupe build.

I imported this car quite a while ago for a client and finally it's now at the workshop for the tear down to commence. The car is quite unusual in that it's a genuine 390 GTA coupe. The rear end is still under the car and overall the car is in pretty good shape. Obviously it requires some panels and welding but nothing too major above and beyond the usual suspects. The front and rear frame rails are perfect which is always a good bases to start with.
The owner of the car is looking to have the car finished black on black and very understated, I expect a set of 17" wheels will be fitted but thats down to the owner. The original power disc brakes will be replaced and I expect the manual steering will be upgraded but these are things we're yet to discuss further down the line.

    Phil

Yes it was. Ron kindly looked after the old girl until I had a slot in my workshop for the car.

We could have sold it half a dozen times,

Big block coupes are not easy to find.

The tear down has finally begun. This car is in very good shape barring the usual suspects.

Another quick update. The engine has now been removed and the engine bay stripped. The floors have also been removed and the lower cowl panel has been repaired and painted in Raven black in preparation for the new top to be replaced. The toe boards will also be removed and replaced once they arrive from the U.S, so in the mean time the front end is being stripped and repaired. The entire front suspension has also been removed along with the old disc brakes ready for the car to be lifted on to dollies.

Phil, where you repaired the section around Cowl! Are they repair pieces you made or sections you buy. Or was that one full piece. Like seeing these rebuild pictures. Just in case I ever take the plunge.
