It's been quite a while so a quick update. Because I've been so busy my son Oliver has been keeping the El Camino progress moving slowly in the right direction. The welding on the body is pretty much finished barring a couple of small areas around the front A pillars and the body is finally back on the chassis with poly body mounts. The air bags hold air and have been tested. Hopefully not to long now before it has some colour.

Finally the LS1 motor is alive. Not wired properly yet because the entire truck needs a rewire but all is well....Very happy indeed.

In order to keep things moving I thought I get started on the interior. The air tank is now mounted behind the seats and panelling in has begun. I also started to fabricate the centre console. Still a way to go but getting there slowly...

All flatted down. Fingers crossed, tomorrow colour....

BTW. The air ride is blown up to raise the body to a better working height.

I feel I'm probably flogging a dead horse with this forum now but no the less here's another update for anybody that can be bothered to look.

Finally the El Camino is painted, it only took 9 hours lol..... Next up will be wet sanding and polishing.

Don't despair, a lot of us look at your fabulous work but don't often comment. That's a great colour! Is it a keeper or will you be looking to sell it on when finished?
