SantaPod - MOCGB Host a Mustang Day on 5th July 2019 - A date for your diary

As some of you may know 2019 is the 40th anniversary year for the MOCGB and to celebrate this we have a few exciting things in the pipeline.

I have been speaking to Santa Pod management since July regarding an exclusive “Mustang Owners Club GB” day at Santa Pod raceway in Northamptonshire, NN29 7XA. This was also agreed by the committee at the MOCGB National show at Dunton on 2nd September.

Although Santa Pod’s 2019 calendar is still being finalised, we are pleased to announce that we have managed to secure the 5th July 2019 which is a Friday before a RWYB Saturday (and the day after American Independence day). We would have exclusive use of the whole place including track, marshals, emergency services, café, etc, etc.

Please keep the 5th July 2019 date free in your diary – more details to follow at the AGM, on here and in Round Up.

      Paid Members only?

Well done Roy. If this event is limited to fully paid members only, it could be a useful recruitment tool for lurkers and guests to join up?
Probably worth getting some flyers made up to stick in members windscreens at shows around the country. What do you think?
. Cars, photos, wine. What else is there?

Still working out the details Mick but wanted to secure a firm date so that people can plan it in for next year.

I would hope that this event will be 'inclusive' and will offer members a vastly reduced price and non members a 'standard' price but details are still being discussed at the moment.

                          SantaPod 5th July 2019

This sounds fab, a definite date for the diary.
As a preview there's a group of us Mustangs going to SantaPod on Saturday the 13th October 2018.
It's a "Run What Ya Brung" event from just £10 admission and £25 to "sign on" if you want to put your car on the track.
It's a public event, anyone can go.
Any one fancy it? it would be be good to see you there.
                          Cheers,
                          Bruce
