    S550 wheels on a S197

Would a set of 19" S550 wheels (Genuine Ford wheels) bolt straight onto a 2005 S197? Would I need spacers, wheels nuts or just stick them on and of I go?
    Cheers.

I think Colin Bullen has some 19 S550 wheels on his now. On and go!

I don't know the answer to this, but I did come across a thread where a guy in the states took a set of 20x10.5 wheels off his s197 and fitted them to the s550 and had to use a 5mm spacer up front to clear the brakes, so stands to reason the s197 is probably more accommodating than the 550. I did a quick search because I was interested to see what they look like and I think I found your answer .

Further reading says that they go straight on to non brembo cars, and brembo cars need a small spacer up front, some say 5, some say 10mm

I have stock brakes so that isn't a problem, my biggest problem is I'm not sure if I like them or not, maybe a few too many spokes.

Hey mate, yes S550 fit straight on and look great on the S197s IMHO...

Yes I have S550 wheels on my 2010 S197 and no issues. I've even lowered it with the pro springs and still no issues.

Will Trye sensors need to be changed? Are the s550 on the same frequency as the s197?

Yes the tyre sensors have to be changed. Might be worth you looking into one of these in car emulators unless you really want TPMS.
