HURST shifter competition plus.... fitment niggle...

Finally got round to fitting the competition plus shifter on my '08 GT, even though we have fitted it to the letter of the instructions -including the offset- I find that with the car sitting in neutral the shifter handle feels like its leaning too far to the left. Any suggestions, anyone had this?

cool, yes my sits slightly more to the left ( as a good gentleman does!!!) when in neutral, if in first the boot ring on chrome "hurst" handle will almost rub on edge of boot/gaiter surround...... i am tempted to ignore instructions and place chrome handle onto the right of the shifter attachment post ( but then grooved fitting marks will not be on same side/correctly facing each other.......)

OK i finally sorted it and yes its awesome and sits dead central like fitted in the factory. so what i did was remove chrome handle from shifter, now in order to follow instructions per Hurst, the chrome handle attaches to the shifter so that machined grooves mate/face each other- or another way to put it, handle will sit to left of shifter, with bolts entering from the left. So in order to get it straight and look factory i put the c-handle on the right of shifter and fitted *( like a steeda tri ax has ) a rubber between the two, i also reversed the handle so that machined grooves were inside/facing rubber and shifter, some split washers and a little thread lock also went in, in case of vibration..... Perfect!!!

ID:	1237781 Apologies. I meant to add these. They show how my shifter is fitted. Chrome shifter is on the right hand side.
