2010+ S197 rear light cluster

Just wondering how people have their 2010 rear lights set up? do you have the fog light using one of the 3 red bars? Or do you need a dangly fog light hanging at the bottom? If anyone has pics of their conversions could you please post them?

I was given the option when the SVA was done on my 2010 and decided I preferred to retain the 6 tail lights and 6 brake lights (+ the high one obviously) as a Mustang should be. Fog light below bumper doesn't bother me.

Atlantic did mine and the car retains the 6 tail lights but only 3 brake lights (inc high one) with fogs built into rear cluster so no need for the dangly one. Indicators light up as orange.

I did approach Sigma to have the sequential lights reinstated but they need the car for a week to design and make up a suitable PC Board/loom. I have limited time at home and didnt want to be without the car for a week - but its still on the wishlist!





Must get some better pictures next time home!

Doesn't that make the inner brake light too close to the fog light for IVA?

No, inner brake light has to be 40mm away from fog light, which (thanks to the reverse light being between them) the 2010+ just squeezes in.

My clear bits are set up like that but I didn't want to scrifice red sections either side for a fog light I'm highly unlikely to ever use

This shows what a complete joke the "standardisation" the IVA is supposed to be. The test centre I use would fail this set up for the reason that the fog light is not brighter than the brake light. I can't remember the candella figure but that's what they insist on.

It is brighter by virtue of the reflector i the fog being a mirror finish whereas the brake lights are honeycomb.

But get this, if on the 05-09 models we use the Euro lights well the brightness is the same but it passes and perfectly legally. Why? Because they have an EU number stamped on the lenses.
