    Servicing? Ford or specialist?

After some advice , do you guys stick with Ford or use a trusted specialist? My cars warranty will be up the next time the service rolls around. I know of a great independent who specialises in the Focus RS and all things Ford, but not sure if it's worth keeping the full Ford history?

Keeping the full Ford history is the dream, but at what cost. It may make the car easier or more attractive to a new owner with full Ford service history. If the independent is well known, and you are using Ford parts, and have an itemised bill, it is a full service history. The major advantage of using a Ford dealer is the access to technical information, updates, and these are usually the only vehicles they work on, so should know them in side out, all the quirks, pitfalls and work aroundís.

You do not have to have a Ford dealer service your vehicle while in warranty, it has to be a competent garage and you must use Ford parts, and have the receipts to prove it, if you have to make a warranty claim.

I keep mine with Ford had no issues so far and you get recovery free if you use them for servicing not sure if that just the first three years though

The recovery offer is every year the offer is running, not just for first three years.
