    Where does this bit go?

Please can someone help with where this piece goes? It fell from underneath the car as I removed the engine, specifically as the exhaust shifted. Looks like something to do with handbrake, but I just canít place it. A photo of it place would be the cherry on top
    Many thanks Steve

Power steering hose bracket, should have a black rubber insert to isolate the hoses from the steel of the bracket.

Should be two pieces with a rubber:

Hopefully the rubber is still around the hoses and its simply the bolt thats come loose.

In situ it would look like this:

ID:	1233977 Many thanks, I have the rubber block around the hoses, but canít quite see where it is attached to. Is it the engine mount bracketry?
I might be missing the upper part of the metal bracket.....

As per 2nd link posted above it should be mounted to the lower control arm, although when judging cars in the past I have seen them mounted elsewhere.

ID:	1234006 Thanks. Iíve just found a few photos online now I know what Iím looking for. Looks like 1965/66 is a more basic bracket. In any case itís completely missing on mine. The U clip must have been stuck to the rubber block, but nothing else there. I can fabricate one now. Thanks again

                Did you fabricate that?

                If so it looks perfect!

Thanks. Yes fabricated, weíll just the top part, the ĎUí was the bit I started with! Had to cheat a bit, I used a bead of weld as a stiffener instead of the punched groove on an original part, but other than that just cut drill and fold in a vice. Pretty pleased, itís not perfect but good enough considering where itís located, and I really couldnít justify the £60 to buy and ship from the US.
