    Drip rail

A bit of a random one ... I’ve started to restore my 1967 coupe, I was taking the vinyl roof off this evening to check for rust and I noticed a series of rivets along the roof line. I had already taken the drip rail mouldings off so I can’t work out what the rivers are securing? The vinyl top is obviously stuck in place with adhesive and not rivets. Any ideas? I’ve googled this and checked for anyone else mentioning this in forums but can’t find anything. It’s probably something really obvious so sorry guys

        Hello ken,
im assuming you mean the drip rail chrome mouldings? I found a good YouTube video that shows how to remove and install, also on a fastback. He mentions in the video a build up primer,
paint and clear coat will make it harder to get back on. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=-xnkyDJrjoY

In the factory when they fitted the vinyl roof they secured the edges in the drip rail with a thin metal strip which was riveted through the drip rail
