    Hi I’m a bit confused could someone confirm what engine oil and gearbox oil goes in a 6 cyl, 3 speed manual 1966 , cheers nigel

    Ok then , can you tell me what oil are people putting in their 1966 , 6 cylinder engines, cheers

        I've used this stuff in my '67 200-I6

        It contains an enhanced zinc content, appropriate to the oils available back-in-the-day.

        However, any 10 or 15/40 mineral or semi synthetic oil will do.

          Some of those oils recommended are for later classics. I think you need an oil with high ZDDP (high zinc) and low detergent. As suggested the Valvoline-VR1 is good

            I use 20w50 in our six cylinder, usually from Halfords ( Classic oil) but not always.
