I have a 1965 Coupe which has a 67 rear axle that is wider that the original. Does anyone have the correct 65 axle & half shafts? Is the diff interchangeable?

You have 9" diffs and you have 10" diffs so they are not interchangeable without changing the entire rear drive, housing and all.
You can buy everything for a 65 mustang new so a housing and shafts can be had for around £800 before shipping and taxes, then add around around £450 for the third member differential or a few hundred more if you go LSD.
