Leaking auto sump pan gasket 5.0 88 vert

Hi all, just found out that i have a leak on my autobox sump pan.Ordered a gasket plus filter from alders who where very helpfully to cure it .It looks a quite forward job , but has anyone done this job on a 88 vert before, any clues cheers.

Hi all, just found out that i have a leak on my autobox sump pan.Ordered a gasket plus filter from alders who where very helpfully to cure it .It looks a quite forward job , but has anyone done this job on a 88 vert before, any clues cheers.

First thing you'll find is unless someone has previously changed the oil and fitted a drain plug, there is no drain plug, so you are in for a potential oil shower.
You need a wide tray to catch the oil spilling out the side of the pan.

Next thing if it hasn't been changed before is, you'll find a small plastic plug in the bottom, which was the temporary plug during production to block the filler hole.
