Buy a Mustang...buy a proper one... you will only regret it..Lost count the number of Eco owners that are now driving a GT !

I wanted the Ecoboost from a practical point ,road tax, insurance.Wanted the Guard Metallic as a take on the Bullitt version. I am not one for keeping cars long so thought it might make it different when coming to sell it. There seem to be a few 2.3 guard metallic rag tops but have not seen a fastback as yet.
Wheels ,emblems etc can all be added. I think the new Bullitt is expensive for what it is.

Unless its a restomod I sold a 2007 Shelby GT a few months ago handling and suspension not that good considering the package fitted .
Its down to price and how they drive for me If funds allowed would go for 2016 Shelby 350R

              Hi Darryl,

It may be worth getting a quote indication for both the ecoboost and a GT, as the difference may not be that much - just a thought :) 01635874646 if you want us to give you an idea.

Firstly great colour choice, (Gaurd is my favourite S550 colour but sadly none available when I was looking). My GT'S road tax is 140 just like the Ecoboost and as mentioned the insurance difference was actually not very much to be honest. I was originally looking at an Ecoboost but am very glad I went for GT, either way both will put a smile on your face but don't rule out a GT just yet.....

                Good luck with the search.

I am not that bothered about insurance or tax ,but some people are. When selling the car it might effect other people on the insurance and the 500 + road tax .even the Ecoboost is 260 on the 2016 models and
the guard metallic is 2016 only. When i owned my 2007 Shelby GT insurance ( A PLAN ) was 250 and road tax 240 for the year

Fair enough. I forgot gaurd was discontinued before the new road tax rules came in. Good luck with your search.
