Yes sorry - I forgot you have a bit of an oil nightmare with this one. It perhaps is safe to stick on the PCP plan, as you say. Car servicing is actually essential, in this current climate. So you shouldn't have issues there.

Just a shame because 8% is not great APR. I know that was what...

I have a chemistry kit. Think it is somewhere in the loft. One that I had as a kid.

When we get to that stage, Allan, I am going to start to make it - like a home brew!! What could possibly go wrong ?

Just as long as I pick the right home brew for the tank and...

Thanks for that snip of info, WD. Now that is very useful to know and will come in handy. I will check at the time.

As DPollard said above - quite wisely, he wrapped the cable where it could be subject to maybe a little heat from the tailpipes. If the wiring could be "brought inside",...

Thanks WD. Yes, for sure, once ordered, I'll see what this all comes with and keep this thread ticking along. You could be correct. ...

Thanks WD - some great info and good schematic there. Very clear

I was looking at the Nemesis versions which are LED. Therefore, I guess - although I have yet to buy them - that there won't be a bulb holder issue. But I have yet to purchase.

I would be interested in the...

I am looking at the smoked side repeaters as well this year. Thanks for the guidance there dpollard. That is great stuff and clear as to how to get the wire to the right place.

I guess some other quick questions from me:-

Did you decide to terminate the left repeater with left...

Hi JPJH. OK, let me provide some insight here for you. Please don't take this as financial advice as I am not qualified. Just take the information and then run with it, see how it works. I'll lift the spoon - you need to feed yourself.

7.99% is a stonker. You need to do some maths....

OK, I have found something else that might impact us all, not just the older vehicles - although there is some emphasis related to the older vehicles in here. The separation does concern me because whilst we are in lock down, no one is using their vehicle as much. Anyway, take this as you read it. This...

A good write up there, Rider.

But it goes a little deeper than this. Unfortunately, it is an issue with lots of arms and legs and hydro corrosion is only one aspect. I am not a chemist, nor do I know much about chemistry. It's been 36yrs since I got close to the subject. But I have...

If you mean empty, Alastair, yes, but empty. Not down to min level on the gauge. I mean tank drained. You are trying to avoid moisture / water content from entering the lines and rotting the tank. If there is no liquid, there is no water.

I would buy the additive anyway. It's just that...

Yes, all good with what you say there. But don't let the mileage creep up too far and replace for another 1.0L when it's convenient.

There are 13,100 1.0L Ecoboost Ford models for sale in the UK currently on Autotrader and 130 have completed over 80,000 miles and none over 125,000. ...

Thanks for raising this Jay. This is a topic I am very close to. We have such a diverse range of years here, I had overlooked that so many here would be affected, even though "I'm alright Jack". Apologies.

Just one thing - is this lost down in...

Yes, the Fiestas and Focuses are nice motors. I won't knock that. They aren't different to the rest of machinery out there but what do is that runaround and they do it well, they do it efficiently and they do it cheaply as well.

being a Fordie, I have to say all this stuff. ...

    Thank you Musti.

It is criminal really. I sit with a load of people at Ford Motor who buy - no, wrong - they rent a car on PCP forever. They never own a vehicle. Always on the tick for 20 years and more.

The dealer comes in with don't do that!! Do this instead and this...

I have a little inside help for you.

You won't be able to buy a V8 Mustang with a 150 road tax, like you have today. I think that you said an Ecoboost version in plain vanilla, no extras, nothing, might be less than 40k today. It is based on list, not the deal that you haggle....

Yes the faraday pouch is a very good item to have - and cheap to purchase for security.

I assumed, incorrectly, that everyone had them, hence why I said nothing. Perhaps not. Make that next on your shopping list if you don't have one as they are worth every penny..

    Another...

Oi! Wash your mouth out. I have 3 absolutely top class, stunning Toledos. There is absolutely nothing wrong with them.

    Bah! I am only kidding.

But whatever the vehicle is, there are always people who like them. So it's a bit unfair to say that they...

At the end of the day, there is only so much you can do. A truck and a hoist will lift one away, if they had to. Would be a bit noisy in a residential street. But if it was sign written as some form of breakdown recovery and the owners were out, which neighbour would come around to question what is...

    I agree with you all.

The moto I use is how much money pays for an experience or for the joy of that type of ownership and running that sort of car ? Not sure that can be quantified. That's, after all, why we spend so much.

Many of you here are following some good sense and makes absolute sense.

A close friend of mine is more into property security than car security but some of the same principals appear. Some do, some don't, quite clearly as a property can't drive off down the road.
