$840 are you mad? Clever and maybe a bit of fun for 100 but are you really going to consider what will probably be over a 1000!?

I fitted a new battery to my GT, it was flat within a week, duff battery.
As Musti says the S197 does tend to have a problem which could be radio connected that flattens the battery in a completely random manor. Never happened to me with my V6 but does happen with my GT. Sometimes it will be flat...

Forgot to mention are you sure its the starter motor? Alternator is a common problem on the GT cars and battery is a common problem on any car at this time of year.

You're welcome, make sure you buy the right one for your transmission. Buying from Rockauto is dead easy and you can pay all fees at the check out (depending on what P&P you choose), you also have choice of new and remanufactured starter motors. Personally I would think your choice of a new Bosch...

Not sure why they would be plentiful over here but 112 (Bosch) from Rockauto sounds pretty good to me.
Remember buying over here you, in general, end up paying more for a lesser quality part and extra fees on top.
As a side note when my Focus starter stopped working I took it out, bashed...

Blimey you are behind the times! Many modern headlamps are sealed units in so far as you can't change a bulb. Just replace one on a RR Sport, 2.5k!...

Not picking on you, just happened to quote you.
If you pay to have your classic serviced then they should be checking everything anyway so then paying them for additional MOT is a waste of money. I can see the value of paying for a "MOT TYPE" of test if you service your own car. My cars...

I understand your concern but has there ever been such a case? Its only a guess but most claims on classic cars are probably because they have been stolen so road worthiness would not come into play. I "think" that no insurance company will turn down a claim because a MOT exempt car hasn't...

Sorry I disagree, all it shows is that its had a MOT, doesn't show its had any maintenance at all. You can have an MOT every year without ever changing the oils, antifreeze, grease ball joints etc.
My theory is that the bureaucrats just don't understand why you would have an MOT when you don't...

I really think that some of you are missing the point.
It has nothing to do with 0-60 times or top speed, nothing to do with engine size or even the fact it has an electric motor or two (or more maybe), or what colour it is.
The point is that it has nothing in common with any Mustang ever...

started a topic Battery charger advice.

    Battery charger advice.

My son needs to buy a battery charger with a jump start function suitable for use mostly on a minibus. He doesn’t want to buy a re-chargeable jump pack as cheaper ones just aren’t worth buying.
I have a Gunsons Rapid Start which he borrows which works just fine but isn’t always...

Just held in by clips (plastic usually being a Ford) have a go at just pushing in back into place, other wise a trip to your dealer or local friendly bodyshop if you have one.

I guess most people presume there is a risk buying 2nd hand parts. Moisture is a killer, also dirt, of aircon systems, you should seal any open pipes connections straight away.

They could have called it a Kuga as it has more in common with that model than it will ever have with a Mustang. I am sure it will be a perfectly good modern car if you like that sort of thing, still not a Mustang in the real sense.
Wonder if Chevy and Dodge will follow suit with their own version...

Don't think anyone has a problem with Ford making a SUV.
Have you seen the Bentley, that is a horrible looking car!...
