Proud New Owner - 67 Coupe

    Hi all,

I posted on the forum a while back that I was on the hunt for my dream car. I'm pleased to say it arrived yesterday! Now the very proud owner of a Dark Moss Green 67 coupe.

Really original stock car. Starts up on the first turn of the key and has already been making lots of noise and annoying the neighbours.

Very recently imported from Kansas by yanktankmad. I've had a great experience with Chris throughout the whole buying process.

My first proper taste of the combo of a V8 and drum brakes. Definitely something I need to get used to!

Looking at doing a little bit of tinkering over the coming months: putting on a passenger side mirror and converting from lap to 3 point seat belts in the front. Also looking into a disc brake conversion. Any advice and tips on any of the above would be much appreciated.

Based around the Silverstone area. If there are any local meets you'd recommend i'd love to hear about them.

    Cheers,
    Laura

    Welcome

Smile on your face says it all suits you well.

Definitely sort the mirrors out driving a left hooker in UK mirrors are a must. Again power discs up front would be top of my todo list also. Left field a bit I'm thinking of fitting an ebay/amazon reversing camera of some sort that can be removed without damage if quality is crap, backing into garage ect.

That is one lovely looking car Laura and love the colour!

As already mentioned by 69 coupe I would put a power/front disc brake conversion at the top of my list too.

I'm currently restoring a 65 Coupe and am undecided on whether to keep it white of change it to green in the long run and the green on yours is perfect!

    Welcome to the forum.

I'd recommend a disc brake kit from CSRP - you can upgrade to power at the same time (assuming it's an auto).

Either buy direct or see if pmustang on here has one on the shelf..

Welcome to the forum, stunning looking car, you must be well happy!!
I have found drum brakes, if correctly adjusted are fine as long as you drive to speed limits, probably not great in a emergency. I can lock my brakes which would suggest the tyres are the weakest link.
Still have lap belts in mine as most conversions I have seen would most likely compress your spine in an accident as the top mount isn't usually high enough.
Hopefully some nice weather will arrive for the weekend so you can get out and enjoy it.
