Hello there. New member in North Yorkshire

Hi, I'm Steve and have recently become the proud owner of a fantastic 1968 Mustang Fastback in Acapulco Blue, not her original shade of Lime Gold. I only found this out after getting a Marti report which showed she also had an auto 'box when delivered from new in Los Angeles. She now sports a 4 speed Toploader. I bought her from that well-known Mustang emporium in Essex run by Peter and Ron. The car is in a fantastic condition for her age with a very strong re-built 289, with a later Edelbrock alloy intake and 4 barrel Holley installed. The burble from her Flowmaster exhaust is just brilliant at idle and gets even better as the revs rise! I hope we can have a long future together.

Steve, welcome to the club and good choice on buying a fastback and well done Peter/Ron for finding you this beauty.

That's blue really pops, far better than the original IMO.

    Cheers
    Chris

Mind if I adjust your shift stick?

Steve, the car looks amazing and your enthusiasm and love of the Mustangs certainly made you a pleasure to deal with.

Thanks for all the kind comments about my beautiful Fastback. Been out in the lovely Dales over the last few days enjoying driving her. I'm quite surprised at all the attention she brings - there was even some guy who took a photo as I came out of the petrol station!

Great looking Mustang. Not sure whereabouts you are in North Yorkshire but we have a Mustang meet at The Waterwheel Tearoom, Barn Hill Farm, Howden, Goole DN14 7JP on the second Saturday of the month. Next one is this Saturday 12th May and the venue owner has arranged for local TV to do some filming.

Would be great to see you and your Mustang at one of the Howden meets.

Thanks for the invite and kind words. Sorry I can't make it this month due to work but hopefully will see you all on June 9th. I'm in Harrogate, by the way.
