    I think you are right I am going to use the vin for the engine number, did read on another thread it's the last 5 digits of the vin, DVLA won't know anyway so worst case scenario they,'ll ask to inspect it.Thanks bud.

    Excellent choice of pony, nice to see another 70s join us.
    I can't find an engine number on my 351C either.

    Hi thanks, looking at your photo you run it at tje strip, santa pod? how long have you had your mach 1 and have you had much done to the engine.

    Hi Tim
    Ive had it for 3 years now and it ran the strip just before I bought it. The fact it was driven from Burton upon Trent to the Pod, ran 15.2 seconds (on road tyres) and then driven back to Burton without problem proved to me that it was in good order and apart from lots of electrical "fettling" and a few small mods it has been excellent.
    Its a 351 Cleveland which I suspect (from the way it idles) has a mild cam. It is still running on points and in the 2000 miles I have put on it I hav'nt had the dizzy cap off "YET". I replaced the 4V Holley with a new manual choke 460. It has a C6 box where as it was an FMX according to the door plate and has a "Locker" axle.
    It has been in the UK since 1972 and I am the 3rd owner.
